There is an illegal waste dump located in Aktau City near the presidential palace. The waste deposit lies right next to complex of governmental buildings, palace and the yacht harbour. The governmental complex is surrounded by a wall and the area inside is irrigated and green.
The area of the waste dump, like in cases of other old dumps, is mostly covered by glass and plastic waste as well as construction waste, which indolent businessmen of private construction illegally disposed in this area.
